"We're all the rage"
Bad Company 2 Server List for PC confirmed!
I have high hopes and great expectations for Bad Company 2 for PC. Honestly, I probably set the bar a bit too high so, as more and more info trickles down to us underlings known as gamers, I’ve been getting snubbed left and right. No prone. No modding on day one. After much deliberation, the other angry gamers and I have decided these are not game breaking but we could still use some good news.
Well, finally, that good news has arrived. Despite recent trends in game development, although Bad Company will have match making, it will also have a server list. Here is a quote from the most recent entry on the Battlefield Blog in regard to Bad Company 2′s PC beta:
…
Why we’re Having a Beta
The Beta is happening for many reasons, like testing the infrastructure, hosting stability, and gameplay tuning (FOV, Weapon Balance, etc…) that no amount of internal testing could provide better than real world exposure. This means there will also be times of choppiness, lag, disconnects, CTDs or other issues a Beta version of any MP game would have. We’ll have feedback methods similar to the PS3 Beta as well to ensure your input is gathered and heard.
Advanced warning: there will be things updated in the final game, like a Server browser with more functions, optimizations, performance tweaks, and learning’s from the Beta…
Bam! That just happened. Matchmaking can work, don’t get me wrong. It’s all the rage these days. I just believe we should have the option to use matchmaking OR pull up a server list. Now I don’t have to worry. Kudos to you, Dice/EA.
UPDATE: MP demo for BC2 surprise release on Xbox Marketplace. Playable versions for each platform (demos and betas) have been released. This shit just got real. If you have a PC, PS3, or 360, and haven’t played BC2 yet and you’re not waiting for the noon release for PC, you’re making God cry. Whats wrong with you? Get your shit together. You’re pathetic…
